Vetdox AQ atovaquone Syrup or Supplement comes from the house of Corise Pharmaceuticals aka Swiss Biocare. Atovaquone is an antimicrobial mediCation for prevention and treatment of pneumonia and other respiratory or lung disorders and protozoal infections in dogs, Cats and horses. It is a powerful antiprotozoal agent. It is also used to treat pneumocystis, Babesia Gibsoni infections – tick-borne disease or tick fever in dogs and C.felis, Cytauxzoonosis in Cats along with a combination of azithromycin.

Vetdox AQ Supplement is the first launched atovaquone Syrup for pets in India. Supplement form makes it easier to dose especially in puppies and kittens with less body weight and liquid provides better palatability than Dog, Cats and mixes well with Food.

The usual dosage is 13.3 mg atovaquone/kg bodyweight every 8 hr(3 times a day) for 10 days or as a prescribing veterinarian recommends. Syrup contains 75mg atovaquone/ml – approx 2ml three times a day for 10kg dog or puppy. Veterinary oral use only.
