Itrapet tablet contains itraconazole; one among the most advanced gold standard oral anti-fungal for dogs and cats. It works by inhibiting enzymes responsible for the production of ergosterol which is an important component of the fungal cell wall. It is better than other antifungals like fluconazole, ketoconazole, Griseofulvin, and terbinafine in terms of dosage duration and spectrum of fungal agents. It is a first choice antifungal drug for systemic fungal infections caused by Aspergillosis, Blastomycosis, Coccidioidomycosis, Cryptococcosis, Histoplasmosis, Pythiosis & Sporotrichosis.
